Sneakers against breast cancer

Breast cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the world. One in eight women will develop this disease during their lifetime.

In Spain, every 15 minutes a woman is diagnosed with this disease. It is the leading cause of death among Spanish women between the ages of 35 and 55, killing more than 6,000 women each year.

Research has become the only way to make progress in overcoming this disease. With the aim of helping to ensure that research continues, Pikolinos has been collaborating for years with the Spanish Breast Cancer Research Group Foundation “GEICAM.” This year, 100% of the profits from the purchase of the models identified in the collaboration information sheet have been donated to GEICAM’s metastatic cancer research. Its aim is to expand translational studies on ESR1 and PIK3CA mutations, genetic alterations that cause many patients to develop resistance to treatments.
