Technology and comfort

With comfort our main goal, we develop technology to better absorb shock and reduce vibrations in order to make walking a gentler, more comfortable experience, without forgetting about lightweight or warm styles and ones for bad weather. Check out all the technical lines in our collections.

Wide Fit Footwear

The standard Pikolinos width is G, an internal classification that means our uppers are 3%-5% roomier than the target foot. So, if a women’s size 37 is 234mm, there is approximately 4% more leather on that shoe. However, the exact percentage depends on the type of shoe.

In general, it isn't exactly the case that our shoes are wider or roomier. It's that the designs in our collections adapt to all types of feet, thanks to the closures and elastic our shoes tend to have. However, given the demand for wide shoes, we’ve added WF products to our collection. These shoes are roomier inside. But that doesn't mean they are particularly wide, as the sole size is always the same. What it does mean is that they are roomier (towards the vamp), with 4.5mm more space inside in each style.

So, WF styles have a larger perimeter that gives them a roomier fit.

An interesting fact on this note: the same style shoe in size 38 is only 1.65mm wider than size 37, so a bigger size doesn't give you a noticeably wider fit.

What truly makes a difference in width is the design. A lace-up style is better for wider feet, as they can be adjusted to the customer’s specific size.

We all have to understand that WF doesn’t mean a wider sole; it is always a ROOMIER UPPER. We could call it Wide Fit.
