The self-shine finish is the most distinctive hallmark of our brand: a very special leather with a high-gloss finish, hand-treated by brushing it with natural beeswax. This process is what gives our brand its authenticity. A large part of our collection is made with this type of leather, and for this reason, from our leather treatment centre, Pies Cuadrados, we develop the creams and products you need to keep your Pikolinos looking like new. To care for your Pikolinos, follow the basic steps of our brand’s most classic cleaning routine:
Here are the instructions for cleaning your Pikolinos shoes and bags.
Remove excess dirt with a slightly damp cotton cloth or a natural bristle brush.
Allow to dry and, carefully, apply neutral colourless cream over the entire shoe using the applicator or a small sponge.
Once dry, polish the shoe by gently rubbing it with a clean, dry cotton cloth or a natural bristle brush.
Moisturise your Pikolinos with the beeswax sponge, which will add luminosity to the leather and help keep them looking like new.
Once dry, put the laces back in and insert a shoe tree or shaper to help them maintain their shape and stay in perfect condition from one season to the next. Remember to let them dry in a place away from draughts and direct sunlight.
